Backflow Testing

Your backflow prevention device is a mechanical device; they can degrade and break down over time and will no longer do the job they were required to do.  Inside your backflow prevention device there are internal seals, springs, and other moving parts that can wear with constant use.  In order to remain compliant your backflow prevention device must be tested annually to ensure that it is doing its job.

A backflow device that isn’t working correctly runs the risk of contaminating your potable water supplies and creating situations where contaminated water can cause a health risk.

 Using properly calibrated equipment (backflow gauge) we can test your backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance, and we can repair or replace backflow prevention devices as needed.  We offer backflow prevention testing on all types of approved devices, and we can complete and submit any required reports to your municipality or local water company. 

 Your backflow prevention assembly has internal parts that frequently open and close which allows the water to flow or not flow through the device.  With continued use these parts can wear out or sustain damage that can cause the backflow prevention device to fail during a backflow test.  If your backflow prevention device has failed a recent test it can often be repaired rather than replaced. 

 If your backflow device has failed a recent test, we inspect the assembly and install new internal rubber seals or other small parts that can often restore the functionality so the device will past the required test.  After the repair has been completed, we can retest the device and if it's compliant, we can certify it for you.
